Meeting in
Palermo (Italy)

Within
the second year of implementation of the European Comenius
program entitled «Hand in Hand for the Environment Protection» a
professor of our school visited partner school in Palermo, Italy
between 19 and 25 November 2011.
The
main purpose of the visit was to design and planning activities
to take place until the middle of the current school year
(2011-2012) including the next meeting.
Also,
one of the purposes of the meeting was the visit of students
from different countries.
More
specifically:
1. Each school made a presentation on the activities and
dissemination of results and action taken in October and
November on traditional energy sources and products (brochures,
posters, presentations) for the effect of energy transport on
the environment.
2. The school in Italy has presented the aggregated results from
research conducted in each country around the traditional energy
sources and energy transfer.
3. Debate was held in the leaflets containing information on
alternative energy sources.
4. Debate was held in the preparing dictionary, the renew of the
program's website and the questions for a survey of public and
private transport.
5. Set dates for future meetings for the project in Spain (March
2012) and Bulgaria (May 2012).
6. We analyzed in detail all activities and tasks assigned to
each of the partners. Also discussed finished products for the
program.
7. Made study visits to a factory manufacturing solar panels
BravoSolar in Agrigento, and hydroelectric power plant E.
Majorana in Termini Imerese and thermoelectric power plant Enel.
8. Visited the offices of the district of Palermo.
9. Visited the Monreale, Agrigento and Caccamo.
During
our stay
colleagues from the
Italian school that
hosted us,
guided us
in areas of special
natural, cultural and historical
interest. On
these visits involved
teachers and students
from all countries.
