Within the second year of implementation of the European Comenius program entitled «Hand in Hand for the Environment Protection» two professors and a student of our school visited IES CIUDAD JARDIN school at Badajoz in Spain between 3 and 9 March 2012.

During the visit, meetings were realized at the host school, where we presented and discussed the progress that has been made so far.

More specifically:

1. We agreed on the dates for the next meeting of the project in Bulgaria (May 2012)
2. We discussed the activities for the current year of the program. We analyzed in detail all activities and tasks assigned to each of the partners. Moreover we discussed the final products of the program.
3. We discussed the renewal of this website.
4. We visited Olivientsa, its old walls and churches. Then we visited a winery, where they showed us how they produce wine. At the end we visited a place where bulls are bred.
5. We had a study visit to a solar panel manufacturing plant located in the city of Albuquerque. Then we went to the area where solar ??electricity is produced from a total of 27,000 photovoltaic panels. Finally we found ourselves in a traditional farm where animals are the Iberian hogs. In the same area they showed us the feature tree that produces cork.
6. We were all in groups at the Ciudad Jardin School where they showed us the classes and the workshops. Then 3 groups of students presented their work relating to renewable energy. After that we left to make our planned visit to Badajoz City Hall and the historic city center.
7. A tour in the historic city of Merida took place.
8. We were gathered in groups at the Ciudad Jardin School where the rest of the teams completed the presentation of their work relating to renewable energy. Then we had a discussion on future goals and actions of groups as mentioned above.

During their stay our colleagues from the school that hosted us, guided us in areas of special natural, cultural and historical interest and natural beauty. On these visits involved also students from all countries.

After returning to Greece we did an internal planning for the implementation of agreed actions and actions at school and the material gathered from the visit will be published on the school website
